Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of cardiology experience as an Advanced Practice Provider is preferred.
Prior cardiac nursing experience or experience during rotations is also helpful.

Summary:
The Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner will work with a group of vascular medicine and interventional cardiologists to care for adult cardiovascular patients.
Your role will include evaluating patients with cardiovascular symptoms or known cardiovascular illnesses, peripheral vascular disease, and venous disease, educating patients and their families/social support, choosing appropriate diagnostic testing, and treating cardiovascular and vascular conditions using evidence-based medicine.
Common conditions you will encounter and treat include congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, venous insufficiency, hypertension, and atrial fibrillation.
This position will primarily involve patient care in the outpatient setting, though inpatient work may be incorporated into the role.
Your role will include opportunities for progressive independence in patient evaluation and management, as well as physician support responsibilities in the areas of triage, patient education, and post-visit patient support and communication.
The ideal applicant will feel comfortable in both physician extender and independent practitioner roles.
