We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, reliable, and organized.
This person must be able to work in a team environment and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities 1.
Assist in the digging and trenching of a new underground sump.
2.
Assist in the construction of up to 4000 feet of underground air hose system to deliver air from a rotary screw air compressor on the surface to various locations underground.
3.
Construct block and other material walls (seals) in various parts of the mine to control air flow.
4.
Remove existing unused wires, wood and other mining related items no longer needed in the mine.
5.
Prepare the mine and assist with mine tours for visitors.
6.
Continue with the supplemental roof bolting plan until both mines are completed.
7.
Continue removing old supplies, rails, ties, blocks and trash from both mines.
8.
Continue the general cleanup program of both mines including the outside buildings.
9.
Install continuous LED mine lighting.
10.
Remove gob/debris from the roadways and hauling stone to maintain in stable condition.
11.
Build bridges to cover up sumps that are in roadways.
12.
Install additional pumps and new discharge lines to work towards having a completely automated pumping system for both mines.
13.
Assist with the removal of bulkhead walls/doors and replacing with fabricated steel doors.
14.
Assist with the removal of a couple 4-foot-thick walls to allow access to remote areas of the mines.
15.
Assist with research projects as needed.
16.
Assist in daily pumping tasks and treatment of the collected mine water.
17.
Maintain two holding sumps and remove retained water.
18.
Unload supplies as they arrive and store them appropriately.
19.
Clean and maintain our mining machines and utility carts.
20.
Assist with other duties as assigned by the mine foreman not to exceed the lifting of 50 pounds.
