VW Operator I (Emissions Observer)- Clairton, PA

Descriptions - External
This position is responsible for observing the opacity of emissions generated from the coking making process and recording the observations in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. The data collected is entered into a database. Must be able to communicate observations to operations, supervisors and client contacts. This position requires working in a heavy industrial environment with strict safety requirements. The position requires working outdoors and requires walking, climbing steps, acclimation to heat and cold. The position requires individuals to be available to work 5-days per week that may include Saturday and Sunday. Shifts may be longer than 8-hours per day therefore individuals will be required to work overtime if delays in the operations occur. Must be able to obtain the necessary medical clearances to wear a respirator.
Qualifications - External
Must have the ability to read, write and comprehend English (operational, process, safety and
quality instructions).
Must have the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Some experience in a related position or industrial environment preferred.
Must demonstrate ability to work and communicate in a team environment and willingness to
assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
Must be able to serve rotational 24 hour emergency on-call if required by site.
Must possess a valid drivers license and a safe driving record.
Must be able to pass a drug test and a criminal background check
High School Diploma or GED required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
